DR. MYRON L. POPE
Dr. Myron L. Pope is an energetic, visionary, and collaborative leader who has over 25 years of work experience serving as a higher education administrator and educator. In his most recent higher educational role, he served as the Vice President of Student Life at the University of Alabama. Prior to that he worked with the State of Oklahoma with the Department of Human Services, where he was the Chief of Strategic Engagement. Prior to that he served as the Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at the University of Central Oklahoma, where his work focused on enrollment and retention strategies, student support and advocacy, the promotion of students’ involvement, diversity and inclusion programming, fraternity/sorority life, and the creation of co-curricular learning experiences. He has served as a faculty member at several institutions, including having tenure at one. He has also consulted, trained, and lectured throughout the United States and abroad on a variety of topics including higher education/student affairs administration, leadership development, diversity initiatives in the workplace and society, board governance, team building, strategic planning, TRIO programs, and college student success.
